About Us

I am glad you found me. My name is Patti and I have been raising Border Collies since 1996, when my sons were quite young. I often joke that my kids were raised by border collies, but its kind of true. Alex used to sit in the puppy pen with a book and a lap full of puppies. Erik went on the work at a Humane Society and loves putting his puppy days experiences to good use. He has even taught me a few new tricks. My youngest Collin can still be occasionally talked into coming over and giving me a hand with chores. And now I have 3 happy and fun grand kids to help with the socializing and they call me 'Grandma Puppies '!!

Border Collies are an athletic, hearty and intelligent breed, originally bred for their drive to herd livestock and work tirelessly with their master. They are intelligent, free thinkers with an eagerness to please and work. Todays border collie has so much to offer their human family. From sports, such as agility, fly ball, Frisbee and dock diving, to hiking, running, and therapy/service dogs and of course general best buddy.

My dogs are health tested to ensure healthy puppies. My dogs are DNA tested for genetic disease and are OFA certified for hips and elbows. My focus is on raising dogs with good temperament that can work and play all day, but still have the ability to ‘turn off’ and be great companions at the days end. Never a couch potato, but always willing to snuggle up on the couch with you.

People often ask me how I got started with Border Collies. I tell them it all the fault of our neighbors when I was a kid. They had a beautiful classic Border Collie named Lady. She was the love of my life. We had labs at home, but they were my brothers dogs, but Lady…she knew tricks that would never have occurred to the labs. I would often watch for her to be outside and call her (secretly) to my yard so I could spend time with her. Luckily, her family was like a second family to me and they didn’t mind…to much. They let me dog sit Lady when they were away, so at least she was mine for a little while.

Our neighbors referred to Lady as a Borderline collie. And my family says I was destined to be the crazy dog lady, so, that was the inspiration for my email address: borderline.crazy. When my oldest son was just one year old, we got a chance to have a Border, and I have never been without one since.

Please enjoy exploring my website. I have a page to tell you how I raise my puppies, and an available puppies page for you to see my current litter. There are testimonials from past adopters, and pictures of my adorable babies and a few grown up for you to see. If you decide a border Collie is right for you please fill out and return my puppy application. Keep in mind there are no right or wrong answers, but rather a way for me to learn more about you, what you want in your puppy, and help me in matching you to the pup that will suit your needs.
